A kiss. A hug. A gesture of peace and friendship. That’s exactly what happened between Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone at a special screening of Finding Fanny on Sunday evening. Sonam and Deepika, who were one-time foes, seemed very cordial with each other.
This sign of friendship became more public when Sonam later tweeted about the film and her contemporary Deepika: “Just saw finding fanny! What a quirky lovely film! Kudos to the whole cast & a special shout out to @homiadajania @arjunk26 @deepikapadukone”
Sonam and Deepika have always had a love hate relationship. They debuted on the same day with Saawariya and Om Shanti Om respectively. Their last war of words became the talk of the town when Sonam said on Koffee with Karan that, Deepika doesn't have her own style. Ms Padukone chose to keep a diplomatic front and her reply to the Khoobsurat star at a press conference was, Sonam is entitled to her opinion and I respect that.
Deepikas Finding Fanny releases on 12th September and just a week later Sonams Khoobsurat will hit screens. If their catfight comes to an end, their box office fight will surely continue.
